Career Preparation Workshop

Forecasting Consultants LLC is offering an academic training - Preparation for Advancement in the Atmospheric/Environmental Sciences - this December that is geared to helping undergraduate students get a better view of what potential directions they can take professionally with their degree.
Many students struggle greatly once they finish college and are thrown into the job search and/or the workforce, depending if they can find a job. Finding a job in your field after college can be extremely difficult and may take a large amount of time.
Often students find themselves asking questions such as:
Do I know what to expect after you graduate?
Am I completely prepared for interviews, networking, job searching? How does my resume compare to others in the field? Do I know how to market myself?
Do I have any experience working in the business or corporate world? Do I have working knowledge of marketing/accounting/administration/common online platforms?
Am I prepared for time management in the workplace?
Have I conducted research on the job market and future trends?
Will I stand out against my peers and older generations? Where do my accomplishments rank?
Am I prepared to relocate for a job? What happens if I cannot find a job in my field? How will I pay rent/mortgage and student loans?
Through this workshop and training Forecasting Consultants is aiming to eliminate these types of stress questions with recent college graduates and students.
This 6-week virtual workshop will also include individual one on one mentoring for each students to help propel them forward in a topic of their choice.
The National Weather Museum is also offering this workshop on a scholarship basis, you can contact them at http://myweathermuseum.com/
